First (past the?) post

Well, here I am!

Ever since Mrs Kerr assumed I would be a writer (I think I was about 13), well, that’s what I’ve been meaning to do. Life, however, took me on so many twists and turns, that it’s only now, well into my sixth decade, that I’ve forced myself to give it serious thought. Mrs Kerr was my English teacher, a tall, elegant Canadian who took no prisoners. I worshipped her, but was slightly scared of her; still am, if I’m honest. I daren’t leave this life without at least trying to fulfil her expectations.

Here I go.

This space is where I try things out. Try things out on you, dear Readers. Some things, I will already have tried out on my lovely writers’ group, The Warminster Writers’ Circle. I joined just over a year ago, and have gained such confidence, such love for writing. They’ve inspired me to just do it.

I hope you appreciate my musings. I hope you enjoy them. Feedback always welcome (when I work out the technology).

Thank you for joining me.
